  1. Click Get Started on the homepage and choose Student or Tutor.
  2. Enter name, email, secure password (min 8 chars, mix letters & numbers) and submit.
  3. Check your inbox for the verification email. Not there? See Email Troubleshooting below.
  4. Complete your profile: add headline, subjects/grades, short bio, location/timezone.
  5. For tutors: add availability blocks so students can request sessions immediately.
Security Tip: Enable email verification before booking. Password reset links expire after 1 hour for safety.

  2. Pick an available date/time block from their calendar.
  3. Add concise session notes (topic, goals, materials).
  4. Submit request. Status = Pending until tutor confirms.
  5. On confirmation you'll get an in‑app + email notification; status becomes Confirmed.
Need to cancel? Use the Cancel button. Provide a short reason (e.g., schedule conflict, illness) – this is included in the email notice.

Fix Troubleshooting Common Issues

Can't Log In

Reset password, ensure verified email, clear site data (Application Storage), retry.

Booking Not Updating

Hard refresh (Cmd+Shift+R). If still stale, log out/in; Firestore cache may need refresh.

No Cancellation Email

Verify booking shows Cancelled in dashboard. If yes: fallback email may have failed—contact support.

Suspicious Activity

Immediately reset password and inform support with session IDs if possible.
Developer Console: If reporting a UI bug, open DevTools (Option+Cmd+I) & copy any red errors.

Do I need a verified email to book?
Yes. Verification ensures you receive confirmation & cancellation notices. Resend from the banner or profile.
Why no cancellation email?
If the booking status in-app is Cancelled, backend email may have failed or been filtered. Check spam, then contact support with booking ID.
How do I change subjects?
Open profile edit → Subjects → add/remove entries → save. Changes reflect immediately for new students.
Can tutors decline after confirming?
They can cancel (with reason). Excessive last‑minute cancellations may impact visibility.
